The Drawmer DL241 Dual Auto Compressor is a next-generation dynamics processor that sets new standards for sonic performance. Combining intelligent design, intuitive control, and comprehensive metering, it excels in broadcast, live sound, and studio environments.
Advanced automatic functions allow engineers to achieve professional results quickly, without sacrificing precision or flexibility. The DL241 delivers smooth, transparent, and musical analogue dynamics with the signature Drawmer sound.
Drawmer's Programmed Adaptive Expansion circuitry provides smooth, single-control operation, automatically adjusting ratio, hold, attack, and release in response to the input signal. This eliminates chatter around the threshold and maintains natural, musical gating.
With an 80dB range and variable threshold from +20dB to -70dB, the Expander/Gate offers exceptional control. Fast and Slow release modes tailor the response to the source: Fast for percussive or tight material, Slow for vocals and instruments with longer decays or fade-outs. A single LED shows gate activity.
The Auto Attack/Release Compressor combines soft-knee smoothness with precise ratio control, delivering natural, musical compression across a 10dB range. Instead of engaging abruptly at the threshold, the compression ratio increases progressively, ensuring consistent and transparent performance.
Manual and Auto modes provide creative flexibility. Auto mode is ideal for dynamically varied material such as full mixes or expressive performances, while manual operation gives detailed control for subtle shaping or bold compression effects.
The DL241's zero-response-time, zero-overshoot limiter provides absolute peak control, adjustable from 0dB to +16dB above system level. Excessive transients are contained instantly, protecting connected equipment and preventing distortion.
This ultra-fast limiting ensures total protection against even the sharpest signal peaks, making the DL241 equally suited to mastering, live sound, and system protection duties.
The DL241 comes with two different rear panel connections: either XLR or Jack I/O.
